I Worked as a medical laboratory technologist for many years. Married for very many years. No children.
My husband and I have been involved with the Rotary Club of Kamloops West for many years.
As a result, we went to help with a project in a children’s’ hostel our club was helping with, in Northern Thailand in 2005. That is how we were introduced to children who are disenfranchised and marginalized. We went back many times to help and visit. These children captured our hearts and we wanted to do what we could to help them thrive and get an education. Through our contacts over there, Brian and Karen formed World Wide Life and went with a heart to serve and help these children.
My husband and I support Brian and Karen with our efforts here in Kamloops. I am on the board as secretary for World Wide Life Humanitarian Partnership Society.
I came to faith in Christ many years ago and understand the value of a home with support, love and the teachings of Jesus that brings much hope and healing, as many of these children come to them having experienced major traumas.
We have made trips to visit them and hope to do so again soon. They also have a home base here in Canada at our home.
