Wow! Time is flying by, May and June are such a busy time for us, we have been working on our fiscal year-end for World Wide Life Humanitarian Partnership and helping the girls get settled into a new routine for the Thai School Year. Unlike in Canada, their school year starts in May and ends in March. Puiy started her first term of college and her schedule is vastly different than the other girls. Thip started term one of Grade 12 with an internship at a local Hostel and Tour company as part of her tourism specialized program at Chiang Rai Vocational College. May is settling very well into living full -time with us in Chiang Rai and enjoying her 1st year of Junior High School and she is easily making new friends at school and church. As we have been working away reviewing our fiscal year, it has been an amazing opportunity to reflect on the fantastic year and major transformation in our girl’s lives over the last 14 months. We are so proud of how far they have come. Puiy graduated Grade 12, with a perfect score of 4 in English, and before she lived with us her score at best was 2.5 and she could not converse in English at all, she has embraced learning and speaking the language and has become a most thoughtful and helpful sister and daughter. Thanks to the kind and generous donations from the group who donated to our “gourmet dinner” evening we were able to purchase a much needed used motorbike for the girls to use for school transportation. Thank you all again so much for your support.
We are very thankful every day for the personal growth we see in all our girls and we are thankful to all of you who help us make life better for them.
